Back in 2001, the folks at Red Storm brought yet another brilliant game out to the PC. The stealthy tactical shooter was a terrific slower paced game for players looking for something other than the run and gun shooters that so heavily play out in the PC market. Ghost Recon actually won our game of the year award in 2001. It was that good. Then Ghost Recon 2 happened, or rather, didn't happen. PC gamers were incensed, us among those shouting and shaking a fist at the gods, as the series turned towards a console-centric vision. That second game was cancelled for PC and hope began to fade that we would ever see the series back on friendly shores. The third game in the series, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter began showing on the 360 and PC gamers saw their chances drop even farther but thankfully it was announced we'd be getting our own version not long after the Xbox 360. We got a chance to play it for the first time.
